About the Hello World Poem

Hello World was written because most of us have, to some degree, self-esteem issues. It was written to remind you of what you knew to be true when you came into this world:

That you are a uniquely special being.
That you have unique gifts worth celebrating.
That you are loved.
That you are brilliant.
That you are a perfect expression of God.

Perhaps you were told that it wasn't OK to be all of who you are. Perhaps you were told not to 'Toot your own horn.' Perhaps you know there is so much more inside of you. Perhaps you are tired of playing small.

That is why the Hello World poem exists - because until you can honor and love and celebrate and embrace the magnificent being you are, it's pretty hard to shine your light into the world.

The brighter your light shines, the more you brighten the lives of those around you. The more you remember who you are, the more joyful you become, the more you make a difference.

Reading Your Poetry & Weeping

A friend of mine casually mentioned "Hello, World" in a conversation a couple of months ago, and I was intrigued and so searched it up. I was very moved by it! I spent the whole afternoon reading your poetry and weeping!
